Specific Terms and Conditions

Pet Travel Guidance Service

These Specific Terms and Conditions (“Specific Terms”) apply exclusively to the Pet Travel Guidance Service provided by Moving Animals GmbH (“MA”) and supplement the General Terms and Conditions of MA (“GTC”).

In the event of any conflict between these Specific Terms and the GTC, these Specific Terms shall prevail.

By purchasing or using the Pet Travel Guidance Service, the customer expressly agrees to these Specific Terms.


1. Nature and Scope of the Service

1.1. The Pet Travel Guidance Service constitutes a consulting and documentation support service only.

1.2. The service may include, depending on the agreed scope:

  • Review of documentation provided by the customer

  • Identification of missing or incomplete requirements

  • General guidance regarding applicable import and export regulations

  • Information regarding vaccination, microchip, and health certificate requirements

  • Provision of templates or general completion guidance for health certificates

  • Written consultation support

1.3. The Pet Travel Guidance Service does not include the following services unless expressly agreed in writing as an additional and separately charged service:

  • Physical transportation of animals

  • Freight forwarding or relocation services

  • Airline bookings or flight coordination

  • Veterinary services or medical advice

  • Submission of documents to authorities

  • Representation before customs, veterinary, governmental or airline authorities

If, during the course of the advisory process, the customer elects to book additional services (including transport or freight forwarding services), such services shall be subject to a separate agreement and shall be governed exclusively by MA’s General Terms and Conditions applicable to those services.

The purchase of the Pet Travel Guidance Service alone does not establish any obligation on MA to provide transport, booking, or representation services.

1.4. Under no circumstances shall the Pet Travel Guidance Service be interpreted as a transport, freight forwarding, relocation, brokerage, or agency service.


2. No Airline Responsibility

2.1. MA does not arrange, confirm, manage, or guarantee airline bookings under this service.

2.2. MA assumes no responsibility for:

  • Airline-specific requirements

  • Airline refusals

  • Breed restrictions

  • Embargoes

  • Schedule changes

  • Capacity limitations

  • Denied boarding

2.3. The customer is solely responsible for verifying compliance with the selected airline and for obtaining written confirmation of all applicable airline conditions.


3. No Guarantee of Acceptance or Entry

3.1. All final decisions regarding transport acceptance, border clearance, quarantine measures, and entry into any country rest exclusively with:

  • Airlines

  • Veterinary authorities

  • Customs authorities

  • Government agencies

3.2. MA provides guidance based on information available at the time of review and to the best of its knowledge.

3.3. MA makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding:

  • Acceptance of documentation

  • Approval by authorities

  • Final entry into the destination country

  • Avoidance of quarantine

  • Absence of delays

3.4. The customer acknowledges that regulatory interpretation and enforcement may vary by authority, location, and individual officer.


4. Customer Responsibility

4.1. The customer bears sole responsibility for:

  • Providing complete, accurate, and authentic documentation

  • Ensuring vaccinations, treatments, microchip implantation, and timelines are correctly fulfilled

  • Consulting directly with licensed veterinarians

  • Timely submission of documents

  • Confirming final requirements with relevant authorities

  • Verifying current regulations immediately prior to travel

4.2. MA is not liable for consequences arising from incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading information provided by the customer or third parties.

4.3. MA is not obligated to verify the authenticity, medical correctness, or legal validity of documents provided by the customer.


5. Regulatory Changes

5.1. Import, export, and animal health regulations may change without prior notice.

5.2. MA is not liable for:

  • Regulatory amendments occurring after guidance has been issued

  • Emergency measures

  • Country-specific policy changes

  • Administrative reinterpretations

  • Temporary restrictions

5.3. The customer acknowledges that international animal transport regulations are subject to change at any time and accepts the associated risk.


6. Service Validity

6.1. The Pet Travel Guidance Service is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.

6.2. All consultations, document reviews, and related support must be completed within this period.

6.3. After twelve (12) months, the service automatically expires without refund or extension, regardless of whether travel has taken place.

6.4. A new service purchase is required for travel occurring after the validity period.


7. Fees and Refund Policy

7.1. The Pet Travel Guidance Service constitutes an individualized consulting service.

7.2. Once document review, consultation, or advisory work has commenced, the service is deemed initiated.

7.3. Fees are non-refundable once the service has been initiated.

7.4. No refunds shall be granted due to:

  • Change of travel plans

  • Airline refusal

  • Regulatory changes

  • Client cancellation

  • Travel postponement

  • Expiration of the validity period


8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. MA shall provide its consulting services with due care.

8.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • MA’s liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific Pet Travel Guidance Service purchased.

  • Liability for slight negligence is excluded.

  • MA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

8.3. In particular, MA shall not be liable for:

  • Denied boarding

  • Quarantine costs

  • Veterinary expenses

  • Administrative penalties

  • Flight cancellations

  • Travel delays

  • Financial losses of any kind

8.4. Any mandatory statutory liability remains reserved.


9. Data Protection

Customer data necessary for the execution of the Pet Travel Guidance Service shall be processed in accordance with Section 11 of the General Terms and Conditions.

The customer expressly consents to the processing and transfer of data where necessary for advisory purposes.


10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

10.1. These Specific Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Pet Travel Guidance Service shall be governed exclusively by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict of law provisions.

10.2. The exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be the competent courts at the registered seat of MA.
